And welcome to our monthly out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so others can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in! (Current players are also encouraged to use this post to let us know about new characters.)

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the coming month is going to look like. It will continue to be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding May's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up May 1st after midnight EST; keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that as well as all future announcements.

hi guys!! my name's melissa, i'm bringing in two traumatized nerds.


first up is peeta mellark, who i'll be playing from some nebulous point between "catching fire" and "mockingjay", not long before his brain is hijacked. if you're somehow unfamiliar with the hunger games, he's from a terrible dystopian world that runs annual lord-of-the-fly-themed competitions. he's also very polite and a hopeless romantic. his username is kneaded!


second is david haller from the show "legion", which is sort of about x-men but not really. i'll be playing it like he's from an alternate universe that's vaguely related to the x-men films. i'll avoid details here because spoilers, but let me know if you play a mutant and want to compare universes. generally speaking: he's spent most of his life in psychiatric wards and is only just getting used to his abilities, so he's a little extra, but he's a pretty nice guy.

david's canon contains a lot of touchy subjects. he's also a psychic. i've set up a permissions post here where you can opt-out of specific material or tags in general, or opt-in to mind-reading shenanigans.

conveniently pietro doesn't remember hardly anything about 616, except that he's a mutant and if the humans find that out they might try to kill him with sticks, so. /shrug. there shouldn't be much need to compare. but they should definitely talk about how not to get killed with sticks, and other important mutant business.

also peeta probably has to deal with pietro in high school, im sorry.

anYWAY yes please!! he has a lot of powers and no idea how to use them so maybe pietro can??? help???? he knows he has powers and it makes him weird, though, so yes they should start a 'don't murder me' secret club
