This is an out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so people can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in!

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the first month is going to look like. They'll be updated more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding February's event(s).

sup! my name is crystal and i am playing this trashbag:



aka dio brando from jojo's bizarre adventure. you may know him from the ridiculous number of memes he's generated. for those that aren't familiar with him, he's the antagonist of parts 1 & 3, but generally speaking everything bad that happens throughout all the parts are due to his evil shenanigans. and yet despite his evil shenanigans, even protag squad describe him as being ~so sensual~ and charming and ooh mr. brando ooh~

anyway.

dio is from the 1980s, a 120-something vampire, and what's known as a stand user. the 80's thing is to try and gently explain why he can't dress himself properly. (it's a poor excuse.) the vampire part is important because he sleeps during the day and he has mind control abilities.

as for the potential "wtf is a stand user??" question, dio can metaphysically manifest his spirit as what is known as a stand. (think of them like personas or ghosts who can punch stuff and do other things!) dio's stand is called the world, and it has the ability to stop time. that's also his adoptive brother's body from the neck down, so he has a second stand that gives him semi-precognitive abilities and psychic photography, but that's not important. don't worry about it.

what's important is a few things. first and foremost, you can read more in-depth about how his powers work here. second, given the OP nature of dio's abilities, i don't use any of the more extreme ones (i.e. mind compulsion, flesh bud [that also results in mind control because one mind control ability wasn't enough], or time stop) without asking for player permission first. so don't worry about me springing that on you out of nowhere. finally, you can 110% opt out of playing with dio based upon his powers and/or some of the triggering nature of his history (or opt out of playing with those parts if you'd still like to interact, but avoid those pieces), by leaving a comment on his permissions. all comments are screened & i don't ask questions unless it's to clarify something. otherwise the only comment you'll receive from me is acknowledgement that i received the note!

you know the really stupid part is that dio's the one who named it since he's the first vampire to use it. and then in a really bad side novel that no one really accepts as canon he's all "no... that ability's obsolete now" rather than just renaming it to something less... that. because i mean idk how making your eyeball fluid into shit that can cut stone wouldn't be useful, but what do i know?

the point is: that name will never stop giving me secondhand embarrassment. n e v e r

I grew up only knowing Jojo is passing but vampire! Jiaying is kind of but not really immortal but she's lived through the 1940s and stayed young due to life force absorbing powers. :3 I'd love for them to meet.
