This is an out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so people can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in!

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the first month is going to look like. They'll be updated more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding February's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up just after midnight EST, keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that and a very important poll before the end of the day.

Mel, the Eternally Late Mod

What's up guys, I'm Mel, and I'm going to be the Mod with weird hours in this game since I work a graveyard shift, but I'm excited to get this game going with you guys regardless!

Today I am bringing in resident trash king Clint Barton from the Marvel 616 comics.


Specifically I'm bringing him from the end of issue 15 of the Fraction series, just after losing his hearing. Which is gonna make communication with him.... interesting (let's not even get into how he's going to use the network right now). If you're not familiar with comic Clint he's basically a walking disaster with a singular talent in self-sabotage but, darn it he sure does try to do the right thing most of the time. Also, he really loves dogs.

I'm also bringing in Stiles Stilinski from the show Teen Wolf.


Stiles is coming in with CRAU from his time in the game Ataraxion, post season 3b, and practically overflowing with anxiety, guilt, and, oh yeah, he's really unsure about dreams vs. reality right about now. Of course this is Stiles, so he'll keep most of that to himself and deal with everything like he normally does adversity. Making sarcastic comments and researching things until he goes cross-eyed.

The quickest and easiest way to get a hold of me will always be at spotters_guide, because even if I'm at work I can still respond. So feel free to add me! I love making new friends on plurk, and I'm always happy to talk cr, event plotting, or even just about that newest video game you started playing.

and awww clint won't have his hearing aids? that's alright, howard will build him a new set free of charge (tho he's not responsible if they blow up in his ears or allows him to hear things he didn't want to lmao)

it's not hard to judge clint, he just makes so many bad choices.

he definitely won't have hearing aids yet as he's coming from immediately after getting stabbed in the head with his own arrows (rude!!). thankfully the loss of memories is gonna help him more or less skip most of his surly unhelpful phase in reaction to going deaf, since he won't actually remember why he would be so angry about it.

somehow getting abducted to another world(???) is actually make his transition smoother.

Stiiiiiiiles. Man I haven't seen one of those in ages. :D I'd love to throw 10K at him sometime! And definitely at Clint, too--marksmen need to stick together, and every Avenger needs a protege, right?? (Obviously Kate is too good for that.)

It's admittedly been ages since I brought him out anywhere other than private PSLs but it feels like it's time again.

I would love to get threads with 10K, marksmen are always welcome (and yes, obviously Kate is Too Good to be Clint's protege. Kate is Too Good for a lot of things. That's honestly one of the first five things Clint is going to remember: Katie Is Too Good For Me.)

i don't know much about clint, but i do have some mild familiarity with stiles! i'm interested to see how ataraxion has changed/pushed along his development.

all you need to know about clint is that he's a hot mess. but he means well, at least. as for stiles? well. let's just all keep our fingers crossed on that end that he manages to keep things together. only time will tell.

Hi, Mel! It's nice to meet you! I'm Erin and bringing with me Malia from that show about the wolves, and the teenagers. Stiles is also my fave from the show, so I always love seeing him. :D

Malia's from way way ahead, Season 6, Episode 9, so THAT won't be even weirder along with literally everything else, LOL! When she ends up recognizing him (since she didn't retain names or faces of this ~mystery group~ of friends she has back home) and wondering if he's going crazy, I'm...sorry? But, at least Allison can back up the memories! :D And good luck hiding your anxiety, Stiles. >.>

Erin it's so great to have you in the game, I legitimately shouted out loud when we got your app in, Malia doesn't get nearly as much love as she deserves.

I'm embarrassingly behind with Teen Wolf, but I don't have an issue with spoilers and I honestly think it's always interesting for characters from conflicting timelines to interact and share so I'm looking forward to this. Malia will be good for him though, I'm sure. And as for his anxiety, well.........

Yeah, he has no chance.

:D I had the same reaction when I saw that there was a Stiles apping!! She's been so loud since I've picked her up, so I'm always excited when I get to play her more.

Okay!! GREAT! I was gonna ask to be sure! I find that very interesting too, and I really LIKE that Stiles is not only so far behind, but has all this extra history coming with him. I sure wasn't expecting there to be a Stiles, and it's such a beautiful and welcoming surprise! The differences in where they come from should make their dynamic all the more fun if not strange, but strange is good! Malia grows a lot especially after she fully joins the pack SO I think they'll be great for one another! I know that Stiles will be for her. She's a little fond of him and who he is, after all...

(Clint and pizza dog are the best crime fighting duo around, I'll fight anyone who true to say otherwise)

stiles' biggest problem is going to be distinguishing dream from reality here. his time in ataraxion didn't help him any in getting over what the nogitsune did to him in that respect (made it worse, even) and between the temporary amnesia and false implanted memories of this place it's only going to get worse. so enjoy that malia.

at least he's sort of managed to resolve some of his guilt regarding Allison's death so it won't be a total nightmare of denial on his end.

it'll definitely be interesting to see what grows out of this dynamic where malia is the more settled one, i can't wait!

never apologize for malia's bluntness it's one of the best things about her and part of the reason she and stiles work so well together tbh. like i said, she'll be good for him.
