WELCOME TO THE PINES!


This is an out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so people can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in!

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the first month is going to look like. They'll be updated more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding February's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up just after midnight EST, keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that and a very important poll before the end of the day.

Hey folks! I'm Ty, and I'm here to bring you this precious and only slightly terrifyingly competent apocalypse child from the SyFy show Z Nation, which is about zombies and road trips and snark. His name is Ten Thousand, because that's how many zombies he's going to kill. I mean, he's halfway there, so he's gotta be doing something right, right? He's an excellent marksman with firearms and his slingshot, and he's your new best friend if you have to survive in the wilderness. 10K here is coming from the end of season 2, and while he's pretty quiet for the most part he actually kinda likes being around people, so I'm looking forward to putting him into social situations vastly out of his depth.

I'm completely canonblind but my boy here is also a marksman from a canon that revolves around a roadtrip - prompto's excitable but a little awkward in social situations and is also a hopeless inner city boy so I'd love for him to get to know more people so his chances of survival are higher if things ever get to that!

Hey there! I admit I am also canonblind to yours aside from general proxy via friends and exposure to the franchise, but I'm definitely down! Socially awkward young men should always be thrown together, and 10K's a good guy to know in case of things like the sudden and inevitable collapse of society. :D I'd love to throw them at one another!

Hi, Ellie! You know, it's funny you say that about the actor because as I was surfing for more cast photos I found this. Also, the personality resemblance is more than a little striking, Murphy has some definite shades of Stark. With less empathy. xD So I would love to have run-ins between him and 10K, and it's probably pretty feasible once he regains his own memories, as he'll be looking for tech and ways to fortify his house and/or build a new one in the woods!

hi ty! this is crystal, if ya remember me. (anne's twin.) it's been 6ever since we were in a game together, so it's nice to see we'll be in another one again!

i'm not familiar with z nation any, but netflix has tried seductively winking at me about it a couple of times in the past. (at least i think it was z nation???) 5,000 zombies is...a lot. dang. i guess fortunately for him dio can make zombies so he can keep chipping at that number???

anyway, looking forward to playing with you again!

Hi Crystal, good to see you again! Always good to see familiar faces in a new game :) Netflix convinced me to watch the show, and don't get me wrong, it's not a cinematic masterpiece, but it's got enough interesting characters to keep me watching.

Can't wait to see what someone like Dio does in a place like Wayward Pines, and looking forward to playing with you again as well!
