WELCOME TO THE PINES!


And welcome to our monthly out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so others can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in! (Current players are also encouraged to use this post to let us know about new characters.)

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the coming month is going to look like. It will continue to be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding June's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up June 1st after midnight EST; keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that as well as all future announcements.

Tbh I'm down for any kind of false memories, even if they'd bring about negative or awkward cr. I'd like Leo to remember being an officer in Wayward Pines since he was one in canon and that'd be the easiest way to have him thinking the place is real. So it'd connect him with the environment and have him doubt his other memories a little more.

Maybe they grew up together and are best friends? Or maybe they had a falling out and can't stand each other for some reason? I'm so into plotting this out. LMAO

I think Kaulder could use a best friend who seems around about his age and has a respectable position in town! I do like the idea of them growing up together - like the Good Guy Squad or something. Kaulder's canon loss of his wife and daughter are also there as Pines memories, so maybe Leo's the one who was there to get him through it?

This is perfect actually.

So they grew up together and have been friends forever kind of arrangement. How did you put in the pines loss of his wife and kid because Leo lost his son in canon and I'd like that to be a thing in Pines, too. So maybe somehow his son passed in the same way/same time and they've been helping each other get through it?

I didn't specify! I was erring towards "general car accident" but I can say that his wife died one way and his daughter another - maybe an illness of some kind? Or even if I did just go with "wife and daughter died in a car accident" maybe Leo encouraged him to go to a support group that he attends (or Kaulder encouraged Leo to go, depending on which loss happened first.)

I like the latter the most. Leo lost his son and when Kaulder lost his, he encouraged him to go to the support group he attends. They go together every week and hang out and do best friend things.

That works for me! Ros was telling me Jefferson also lost his daughter, so there's another person who might come with them?
