WELCOME TO THE PINES!


And welcome to our monthly out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so others can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in! (Current players are also encouraged to use this post to let us know about new characters.)

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the coming month is going to look like. It will continue to be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding June's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up June 1st after midnight EST; keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that as well as all future announcements.

Good day, Pinecones! I'm Vette, and I am brand spankin' new to this game, though I have heard much about it from some friends who are active here! I was convinced to app in one of the many green tunics heroes of so many childhoods, Peter Pan, from the series Once Upon A Time.

For those of you unfamiliar with the series or the play that inspired him, Peter is a mischievous immortal boy who inhabits an island called Neverland, and he routinely goes off to other worlds to make friends. And the side note to all of this description is he's a wicked, charming young man who is actually centuries old who kidnaps children, kills them off when they get too old, and likes to play the world games in the world to friends and enemies alike. Oh and he can tear off your shadow and kill you when it suits him to. People in the series get chills just hearing his name.

But don't worry! He won't remember much of that (yet). I haven't fully developed his false memories, but he is related to a few people who properly will come to regret the association! I'm open to any and all plotting that comes my way! And who can resist those eyebrows? Look at them!

Hi, I'm Rory and I am new to the game, too. I've brought in Leo Barnes from the Purge movies and I'm trying to work out some false memories for him. Would you be interested in them knowing each other somehow?

Ugh YES PLEASE! Do you have something in mind? Your character has the face of my favourite character in the world so, yes, yes, yes! Please, Leo is badass.

LMAO this is great. Does he need false memories of a dad or an uncle? Or we can go a different route - I have Leo remembering being a cop before retiring early. Maybe something that way.

Funny enough, Pan is nephew to Kenzi Malikov and by extension nephew to Bucky Barnes. There would be a hilarious irony if Leo was his dad on an oppsie night. I have Pan bouncing around foster families and ends up in Pines before realizing his auntie is there.

OMG, we need to draw a family tree at this point. XD I figure Leo maybe did the nasty and his girlfriend or wife or whatever ran away to London, had Peter (explains the accent), and then he tracked Leo and his cousins down to Pines?!

HI! I'm Ami. I play Clary Fray from The Shadowhunter Chronicles and Justine from The Dresden files. Just is 25 so she's technically an adult but Clary is 16 so clearly they can be friends even tho she's a girl lol. Mostly she won't let any boy say she can't do anything and in canon most of her friends are dudes sooooo. let me know if you want to do anything.

It looks like Clary and Peter are siblings?! They are about the same age, though I think I have Peter 17 years old, so clearly daddy was doing naughty things with many people.

Half siblings I think. This is great. Mostly because yeeeeeah. In Pines, both of Clary's parents are >.> Her mom left to go to France for an art show according to Clary's Pines memories lol.

Ohhhhhh exciting! He's totally going to convince someone else to touch it so he can enjoy the effects! And don't mind him if he tries to find all your little emotional, physical and mental weak spots so that he could mock and exploit them. That's just what... half-brothers do???

Pan was one of my favorites, so I'm very excited to see him around. I am Kacey, also new to the game. I feel like these two could get into a lot of trouble should they ever team up. Blaine is known to kidnap and kill kids, too :P

Pan was vastly under-rated, but I will rectify that, bwhahahahaha! OMG, kidnap-buddies! Let's be the bestest for friends and do bad things in secret :3

Blaine's false memories are still pretty open if you want them to have known each other in the past. If not, I'm sure they can get into trouble eventually ;)

Sweet, we should totally do some false memories of them knowing each other! Right now, all I have is people Pan is related to and a few people he is friends with. If Blaine remembers being a kidnapper, we could have that trend have happened in the past, but Pan was amused and excited at the prospect and wanted to help in future?

That is certainly something we can work with! Especially since Blaine is trying to be good and legal these days, so Pan can be all "HEY REMEMBER WHEN WE KIDNAPPED PEOPLE TOGETHER?!" Yes, I like this idea of them teaming up in the past and then Pan side-eyeing Blaine for attempting to go straight.

Right? Kidnap-buddies need to stick together, okay? Who else is going to enjoy that niche market anyway? It might come in handy!

Your app was a delight and Peter's one of my favorite little villains, I can't wait to see what you do with him in the game. Oh I'm sure I will do the kinds of things we aren't supposed to. I want him to make friends with the sheriff (irony thanks to emma) so he can help to keep everyone under the 'curse' of this place. It will be the best thing, and he'll enjoy every moment of it!

man, peter pan is like my favorite classic story and everything i hear about this version makes me tempted to actually give OUAT a shot.
