This is an out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so people can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in!

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the first month is going to look like. They'll be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding April's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up April 1st after midnight EST, keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that.

Hi! I'm Lins! I'm a mod here at Pines, and I also play Natasha Romanoff from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as Allison Argent from the MTV version of Teen Wolf. This:



is Rhiannon. Rhiannon hails from the tabletop game known as Old World of Darkness, specifcally Werewolf: The Apocalypse, with a few edits by me to uh. Remove the prevalent 90s cultural appropriation that was pretty rampant in that corner of the universe. She's not a werewolf, though, she's actually what's known as a Corax, which is a fancy way of saying 'wereraven'. She has some fairly bird like mannerisms and also likes to talk and talk and talk! I've got very little plans for Pines memories for her, other than she was a student at school and she was that kid in class who wouldn't stop fidgeting and got the squeaky chair and just went squeaksqueaksqueaksqueaksqueaksqueak for the entire period. She's going to be working at Jefferson's tea shop, and also spying on all of you. You can find info here, which I will. Make nicer later, when I can sit down and code up a profile. Weep.

Oh and. Listen. Listen. I don't have a problem. The fact her PB is Scarlett Johansson is a coincidence. I'd prefer it if ICly people didn't think she and Natasha look the same, as well, just for the sake of my sanity. I'm looking forward to throwing her at all of, you disaster that she is!

Memory-wise I'm not sure what to do about false memories yet, but if there are any record stores or photographers around that would be a good basis for a job. That ooor... Well, being a teacher's assistant. Mmmyep.

azula is a royal piece of work who doesn't remember much aside from being a princess, semi-killing a 12 year old with superpowers, and how to make fire. what she lacks in empathy, she makes up in cruelty, perfectionism, and arrogance, so she's definitely the kind of person you want to have cr with. she's also just 14, but that hasn't stopped her from conquering the earth kingdom, though it does sort of explain that sad excuse of a social skill she has.

memory-wise, i'm not super set on what i want for her, but i'm open to everything. she'll probably remember going to school, might have skipped a grade or two, and particularly interesting fake memories could be stuff like friends, mean-girl-style friends, people who have had to deal with her crappy personality, that kind of thing. maybe she tried to set your yard on fire once. all in a day's work.

Bruce believes Jason Todd was his biological son and was killed in a car accident a few years ago, because I can't be given nice things ever.

Zuko | Avatar: The Last Airbender

Hi guys! I'm Hanna, and I will be playing Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

He is 16 years old and has many, many issues. One side of his face is severely scarred, courtesy of his father, and that is one of the few things Zuko can remember about himself. He has a pretty shitty attitude about... almost everything, really, but he is a sincerely sweet young man at heart. He is the older brother of Azula, the terrifying young lady further up in this post, and thus also royalty. He has the ability to create fire but no memories of how control it so that'll be fun for everyone.

As for false history, I'm pretty sure I will install a part-time job at a tea-shop for him to make myself cry over uncle Iroh feelings. There will be some sort of explanation thought up for why he doesn't have any parents around as well, though no solid ideas exist at the moment.

As I have no plans, I am super open to suggestions so please come at me, guys!

Hello everyone! I'm Tessa, newbie here (I'm super hyped to be here!), and this is Lorna Dane. She's from Marvel comics, specifically coming in from the 616 side of things. She's an all around badass, honestly, and has more sass and attitude than she knows what to do with most times. She's also a mutant with metal/magnetism related powers, the half sister of Wanda Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff if you ignore certain silly retcons, daughter of Magneto, on and off member of the X-Men and various other teams -- GOOD TIMES.

hi all! i'm anne, i play enrico pucci here although i've been absentish this past month due to work/life balance being fake recently. this time i've brought in maladict, or maladicta, or just mal for short. she's from the reasonably well-known series discworld by terry pratchett, although specifically from the standalone novel within that series called monstrous regiment, which is less well known. i don't have a gif, but here's a picture of mal being an idiot, which is her main hobby.



as you may have gleaned, mal is a vampire. she is also a soldier. she loves coffee and does not drink blood. she thinks she is very fancy, but is in fact kind of an idiot, and although she wants to do the right thing she has a habit of charmingly hecking it up. in canon she also passes as male until about ten pages before the book ends, which means two things: she's a spoiler, sorry guys, and she is going to be presenting sometimes as more masculine and sometimes as more feminine, which i'll try to be clear about in prose etc.

i have some rough mental sketches of her false memories up, but basically she's going to be kind of a drifter, not quite a student and not quite employed. the early 90s were a nice time for grunge rock, and she thinks she's a grunge rocker! she thinks she can drum! only sort of. i'd love a housemate for her and a job, the obvious choice being barista but let's network.

Hello again! I'm Arisa and last month I brought in Lydia Martin, but this time, I'm dragging in two lovely ladies from Marvel land, comics and movies alike. If you'd like to play with any one of my ladies, feel free to add me on plurk at sausages!

First up is the ever excitable Kate Bishop from Marvel 616. Her superhero alias is Hawkeye; no, not the ditzy blond guy. She's the better one, with all the spunk and annoying sass. She's a bit of a handful sometimes (read: all the time), and she's a self-proclaimed Private Investigator (though she refuses to pay the fee for a real license) so she tends to stick her nose everywhere it doesn't belong. Her canon point is after issue #4 of her latest solo comic series, Hawkeye.

Kate's memories will be a bit messy for a little while, and she won't actually remember she's Hawkeye. She'll know all about superheroes though and that she still kicks ass with a bow. Second is Wanda Maximoff from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She's one half of those temporarily wicked twins who just wanted to do right by their poor country. Which has inevitably led her to being feared by literally everyone because of her crazy bewitching powers which she sometimes struggles control over. But she means well, really. Except she got locked up in an ocean prison for it in a really bad way. It's fine, IT'S FINE.


She won't immediately really have too many false memories within Pines (but that's open to discussion!) but she'll mostly be struggling with a grand sense of amnesia for the most part, having more blank spaces than anything. Hello, Pines! I'm Jenni, I'm new to the game and bringing you one Pietro Maximoff from Marvel Comics, coming to you straight out of the Brotherhood of Occasionally Evil Mutants.

This Pietro is the angry Romani mutant rights activist version, and he's closer to the cranky pessimist end of the asshole speedster spectrum than other iterations. He’s had a rough childhood thanks to antiziganism and humans trying to kill him a lot, until he and his sister got picked up by Magneto and indoctrinated into his mutant supremacist organization. So that’s been a barrel of laughs.

As of his canon point, Pietro is still loyal to Magneto, but he’s not sold on the whole murder all the humans idea for some reason. Luckily he won’t remember any of that in Pines for a while!

I would love to establish some fake memories for him, though, especially fake (or real??) family to help keep him grounded, adults to attempt to wrangle him, and an assortment of enemies and rivals, since he’s pretty much a constant dickface. Sorry. He’ll be a high school senior, the kind with good grades and a real shitty attitude, and probably a track star because he’s a big cheater.

So, I heard you were lacking in the sad, damaged war vet department. Logan fits the bill, but Sam is actually pretty well adjusted! Maybe he can teach some of you a thing or two.

Anyways, hi! I'm Meg, I'm new, and I'm excited to be here. My plurk is over here if you're interested in plotting or hanging out to chat!



The first dude I'm bringing you is this literal ray of sunshine right here: Sam Wilson, Falcon from the MCU, with a canonpoint at the end of Civil War (Steve just broke him out of the Raft). Before he signed on with the Avengers, he was a retired pararescue-turned-councilor working for the VA. He's certified as a EMT too, so I was thinking of having him work at the hospital here in Pines, once he gets past the initial amnesia phase and settled. He can come pick up you crazies in an ambulance, because I'm sure it will be necessary. As far as living arrangements go, he's either going to crash on Steve & Nat's couch for a while, or set up camp in a house across the street for Avengers & pals spillover/crosscanon friends who get picked up along the way. IDK YET. Also, he's not going to be very inundated with false memories, because he's smart enough to keep a low profile and has friends who I know will fill him in on this place and What Not to Do. But I am definitely open to giving him some memories, maybe to kickstart some CR or whatever.




LOGAN ON THE OTHER HAND... lmao he's going to be full of false memories of a life in Pines, because otherwise he would immediately start causing trouble. He was a canon amnesiac anyways, so it will be fun to mess with his memories again because he'll be so pissed off once he eventually learns the truth. Logan (better known as Wolverine) is from the X-Men films, and his canonpoint is at the end of Days of Future Past, after time travel bullshit. I really, really want to shove him into the school, maybe teaching shop/industrial arts if that is something nobody already is doing. So come to me, kids, for all of your false memory shenanigans! He will totally tell you upfront that your birdhouse should be fucking condemned.

OH YEAH, and this is what Logan actually looks like at his canonpoint. His healing factor got partially boned, so he's started to age. Most of my icons are from older movies just because more icons exist from them, so.

Hello hello! This is Shiro, player of Jiaying from mcu/agents of shield. And I'm bringing in more dead. Neither of their false memories post are ready yet but they will be!!

First is Shiba Reiichirou (over at abnormalsadist) from Zombie Loan, who is a former serial killer and fake reaper and current zombie seeking reform who will also likely troll people. At least he'd find the situation interesting enough that he won't feel bored. I'm not looking to get him employed yet. He'll play full time student and full time snoop. False Memories will likely be related to those. He's gay but he's an equal opportunity flirt. He's also a charmer and a canon professed genius. He can also manifest an army knife so that's perfectly safe!

Next up is Sissel from Ghost Trick. He's a kitten. He can't talk unless the other person is already dead. He's an immortal cool cat with a sense of humor and ghost tricks at his disposal (he can possess and manipulate objects, travel through phone lines, and listen in on active telephone conversations. He can also travel back 4 minutes before a person's death if the corpse is fresh.) He's very much an experiment in me figuring out how far I can take a non speaking character in a game. (dead people pls come to me!)

Alec Lightwood | Shadowhunter Chronicles

Hello! I'm Selina and I'm bringing in Alec Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments books. (Similar to the series but less grumpy than his TV doppelganger and younger too.) He's tall, lacks tact in most situations, wears a lot of leather (or did before the pesky memory loss) and is the squad mom of whatever group he finds himself in. He's also covered in a lot of weird marks that he doesn't really remember the reason for but they do look awesome.

He remembers that he has siblings that he is going to miss terribly, he remembers kissing Magnus Bane and it was VERY IMPORTANT, and he remembers being at a wedding with Magnus. So obviously they must be married. There's also some confusing stuff about Shadowhunters and archery that he's going to be trying to figure out.

Helloooooo Pinesfolk! I'm Amy, reachable via PM or taintedcrimson and I bring you a Rogue, fresh from being held captive and experimented on in the apocalyptic world of X-Men: Days of Future Past. You needed another mutant in town, right?

For those who aren't familiar with Rogue (movie name Marie D'Ancanto), she's a southern belle whose first kiss put a boy into a coma. When she touches someone with skin-to-skin contact, she absorbs the memories, abilities, personality, and outward physical characteristics of other sentient beings. She also drains your lifeforce, oops. Prolonged contact will knock someone out, put them in a coma, or even kill them. She usually tries to stay covered up and be careful around others, but accidents can happen. (If you'd like for an accident to happen, or to opt out of this possibility, drop a note over at her permissions post.


Her life has kind of sucked lately.
Her app is over here for the curious. At her present canon point, she's been through some stuff, so once she gets some of her actual memories back she'll probably need some therapy. Including the retail kind, because that grey suit is what she's coming in with.

Rogue will probably end up working at the school, since she's used to that, but she might branch out and try something else. She's voting for the coffee shop. I'd love to get some false memory CR planned for her, so if you're interested, just pop on over here and we'll get some shenanigans going!

Hey lovely fellow prisoners citizens! I'm Kai, and I'm bringing with me Magnus Bane from the Shadowhunters television series. He's likely to stand out with his avant-garde fashion and heavy eyeliner, as well as his tendency to do magic early on before remembering that it freaks some people out. Until then, don't be alarmed if his hand looks like it's caught on fire. Also don't be intimidated by his tall, weapon-totting shadow in the form of Alec Lightwood who he believes to be his husband. Magnus will make you a drink to calm your nerves. As this is my first time with Magnus in a game, I'm really excited for a variety of CR! He has a tendency to adopt supernatural creatures who don't have a family, but I'm also very open to negative CR since Magnus can be sassy and rather blunt with people he dislikes. Wow, I am LATE. Hi all, I'm Mary Beth and I'm bringing in Emma Swan from Once Upon A Time.

She's coming in following the moment when she had to say goodbye to her family at the town line in Storybrooke, back in season three aka back when the show was still worth watching - not that she'll remember it right now, anyway! I haven't given her any false memories, but I can always work on that.

Overally, Emma is rough around the edges, but also a damaged badass who tries to do the right thing. And she's such a mom in the right circumstances, so good luck with that.

Hello, Pines! Trap here, player of the illustrious Rohan Kishibe, bringing in a second character, the lovely Lunafreya Nox Fleuret from Final Fantasy XV! I figured it might be nice to have a more personable character around to get involved in ways that my other character (read: child) wouldn't be interested in, haha.

If you don't know Luna, she's a princess and a total badass. She cares about helping people, but she also does Whatever She Wants, including (but not limited to) jumping out of airships and confronting Leviathan all by herself.
