This is an out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so people can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in!

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the first month is going to look like. They'll be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding April's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up April 1st after midnight EST, keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that.

heyyyy i'm adina and i'm bringing you azula from avatar: the last airbender!



azula is a royal piece of work who doesn't remember much aside from being a princess, semi-killing a 12 year old with superpowers, and how to make fire. what she lacks in empathy, she makes up in cruelty, perfectionism, and arrogance, so she's definitely the kind of person you want to have cr with. she's also just 14, but that hasn't stopped her from conquering the earth kingdom, though it does sort of explain that sad excuse of a social skill she has.

memory-wise, i'm not super set on what i want for her, but i'm open to everything. she'll probably remember going to school, might have skipped a grade or two, and particularly interesting fake memories could be stuff like friends, mean-girl-style friends, people who have had to deal with her crappy personality, that kind of thing. maybe she tried to set your yard on fire once. all in a day's work.

eliza killed a bunch of virgin women to bathe in their blood so she could remain young. she's also got a high-ranking torture skill. among other things.

SHE'S 100% DOWN WITH BEING CRUEL TO PEOPLE. but i also wanna say that, like... as far as false memories go, maybe at some point she either grew bored with it or decided she wanted something better? part of her story arc in fgo is learning how to be a Normal Person and not rely on cruelty, so i wanna keep her going on that for a while. it could cause some nifty friction between them, if you're interested?

also i asked ibaraki-mun already, but eliza works at a tea room/asian market-type deal, if you want azula to have a part time job?

ooooh that's really cool, yes! azula doesn't deal well with people no longer complying with whatever she wants them to do, so it could definitely cause some interesting tension! i wouldn't mind her having some uncharacteristic memories – ie, maybe being slightly less Fueled By Other People's Fear (TM) type stuff, either.

and i'm 100% down with the job, it sounds fun! azula would be offended at the memory. and probably try it anyway. and it would be a d i s a s t e r.

Welcome to the game, Adina! I'm Jae and I've got Izumi here, who is 100% teenage boy material at that ripe age of 17, so he and Azula probably cross paths at school, where her mere presence is too good for him. I hope you have fun in the game!

nice to meet you, jae! yess they definitely run into each other at school, where she is a terrible person. maybe they have an extracurricular something together?

Sounds good! I don't have a particular preference as to what type of extracurricular activity—and since it's based on false memories, I'd be cool with anything if you have something in mind. We can keep it vague, otherwise!

hey, adina! i'm jeeps, and i play steve rogers here of ye olde marvel cinema. i love atla and i love azula, so i'm pretty darn excited about this. steve teaches art at wayward pines academy/has memories of the same, so that's a definite potential avenue for fake memories. welcome to the game! ♥

she definitely was/is in his art class, because the mental image is really funny to me. it's probably her worst subject. she's the kid whose work can be summarised with the words "blood, death, and fire" and i'm sorry in advance. he might have sent her to see the guidance counsellor before?

FIRE NATION REPRESENT. Slams hand down, I have a Final Fantasy character from his world's version of a Fire Nation and is all about dat fiery pride and setting shit on fire SO I THINK SOME CR IS IN ORDER JUST FOR THAT.

I'm Shira, nice to meet you! I just have Jack here who's a resident 17-year-old class clown who lives and dies by the punchline, so they'd probably know each other from school!! Azula's bad behavior would probs roll right off his back as he's easygoing to a fault, which could be some fun CR!

shira, i am super excited to meet you. i'm so down with her knowing more people who just kinda roll with her general behaviour. also, i just kinda skimmed your app, but they do have that excessively military background they share, and that could make for some interesting cr things down the road, too, possibly maybe?

Eliza happens to be his roomie, so there's also room for "ugh, you live with that girl" CR, too. :') I'M EXCITED FOR ALL THE THINGS.

Logan is going to be teaching industrial arts at the high school, and he'll have plenty of false memories of a life in pines to keep him from freaking out about all of the weirdness and going on a rampage lmao. He also knew a couple of kids who had fire-related powers at his old school, so he won't think the firebending is weird or anything.

false memory wise, she so far mostly just remembers school and that she's been living alone with her brother for a pretty significant amount of time. but!! azula would so be taking industrial arts, especially if she could occasionally use some bending to move things along. she's pretty focused and a perfectionist, i can see that working out well for that kind of class. ... obv, she probably has her, um, sinister moments. her grandfather and father both were pretty big on industrialisation and Making New War Things Happen, so once those memories come back, that is probably something shining through in some practical aspects of her work. soooo on the one hand, she isn't a very pleasant kid, on the other hand, she's p into it and can probably even kinda respect him as a person? it's rare for her

Hello and welcome! I'm Ros, with Chase Collins (The Covenant), Jefferson (OUAT), and Bucky Barnes (MCU). Of my cast, Chase is the closest to Azula's age, so he might have crossed paths with her at school, though he's a bit too old to be in her friend group. BUT MAN, I WANT CR WITH HER, she sounds right up my alley.

nice to meet you, ros! depending on how old chase is, he might know her darling older brother zuko, who is a far less terrible person and whom she's sure to drop in on occasionally at school, so that's how they might have met! other than that, they could have some kind of extracurricular thingamabob together. ANYWAY i'll be sure to tag you in the future to make stuff happen!

and as a sidenote, i used to play regina a hundred million years ago, so seeing jefferson here is super exciting :'D

Hehe, That's actually a very good question. I have her at 16 now but I'm rereading the book to see where she is at the exact canon point that I grabbed her from because through the course of the three books she goes from 15 to 20.

I'm like 89% sure that she's 16. Either way, she's very close to Azula's age and they've probably seen each other in school. Clary is an art student. If you want them to have Pine's memories of each other, something Vague like sharing some classes and Clary always sketching when the teacher is talking. It's your call. I love Alzua and I'm excited for them to bounce off each other.

I tossed Shiba at you (@abnormalsadist) because fellow teenager with empathy problems. They could be friends at school maybe? He's a zombie and can manifest an army knife from his body and control it remotely. Also a bit of a troll so there's a chance he might annoy her.

Hi Adina! I'm Amy and I've just brought in Rogue from the X-Men films. She'll be teaching French and European History at the high school, and like Logan she's got experience teaching superpowered teenagers, so HI AZULA DO YOUR WORST. (I love AtLA so much.)

Rogue's personal mission is to make sure all her students leave the school as at least semi-adjust young adults, but I have a feeling she'll have to put in extra effort with this particular firebender.
