And welcome to our monthly out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so others can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in! (Current players are also encouraged to use this post to let us know about new characters.)

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the coming month is going to look like. It will continue to be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes.

Our in-character intro log will be going up July 1st after midnight EST; keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that as well as all future announcements.

Hi everyone! It's Lins here, with my third second ScarJo character— it's almost like I have a problem or something. This is Major, from the live-action remake of Ghost in the Shell that came out last March! She's what we like to call a 'full body cyborg', meaning that the only organic part of her body is her brain, stuffed inside a titanium shell. She's brusque, a little stiff, and is prone to fits of navel gazing, but she's a good friend to have, and an even better person to have punching things for you.

I don't have much lined up in the way of false memories for her just yet, but what I do have is that she was/is a police officer, and that her 'accident' was in relation to that — maybe she fell out of a tree trying to rescue a cat? I'm super excited to bring her here, so let's plot!

hello everyone! i'm emily and i'm new to the pines, bringing in the prince uncrowned king noctis lucis caelum from final fantasy xv! if you're unfamiliar, he's an anxious sassbaby with a ton of bottled up feelings, likes fishing, dislikes vegetables, and excels at sleeping and quietly caring for his friends. also saving the world, but that's slightly more complicated and will probably make me cry.

false memories are currently a work in progress (bring me your thoughts!), but what i do know is he has a job at lagomarcino's and will be returning to it once he's recovered from the accident, has somewhat recently lost his fake "father," and frequents both god slayer and go ask alice. and most importantly, he and ignis are gross childhood sweethearts "and they have remained at peak gross to this very day" as lynn so beautifully puts it!!!

i'm really excited to be in the game and thrilled to be joining the big and beautiful ffxv cast! i'm up for any plotting you'd like to do here, and can also be reached by pm or on plurk at gansey (just ask before adding unless we already have cr plans, please and thanks!). blows kisses to all of you ♥

Hello once again, my darling Pinecones :3 I remain both Lynn and Eliot Waugh's player, thus apparently the thing to do in that vein was make my second character his nearly literal opposite. Namely (especially namely, because his frickin name, you guys) Final Fantasy VX: The Saddening's Ignis Scientia. He is approximately the fussiest person alive, after possibly those vampires who have to pick up and count all the toothpicks if you drop a box, sharp as several dozen tacks in just about all respects, and coming in a few years into the decade long timeskip in his canon. That's pretty spoilery for a whole passel of reasons, so I'll be putting up a post for where I can vague things up as well as complete opt-out if you like!

He has enough fake memories planned for a general foundation (works at Go Ask Alice, where his life is beautiful because Jefferson lets him make whatever food he wants and doesn't complain that he drinks coffee allllllll day long, has been Noct's gross boyfriend for many gross years, was probably mildly notorious in school for being a freakishly smart tiny introvert who wore waistcoats from the time he was six, and attends the vets group), but I want more of them. With all of you.

Since the full boy band is here now, after I harass some people it should be cool if anyone already has fake memories with Gladio, Prompto, or Mrs. Argentum and would like to be at least passing acquaintances with Ignis that way!

The only fake memories I actually have with castmates is being friends with Aranea and attending their wedding, and some heartbreaking stuff with Crowe about serving with her parents and basically seeing them die, so I guess there's that, so unless something comes up that we wanna do we'll be starting kinda CR fresh.

Although it's to be noted that he only ever visits Go Ask Alice to flirt with bother Cassian (or side with Cassian against Jefferson's occasional bad menu choices more like) so Nyx would be a familiar voice?

HEY PINECONES, it's Ros, c-c-c-combo breaking the Sebastian Stans (Jefferson and Bucky) with a new character:


PENNY FROM THE MAGICIANS. He's a Psychic and a Traveler (basically: he can go anywhere... ever... including other worlds/universes/realities. Which sounds great, until you realize he can accidentally Travel to the inside of a volcano or the bottom of the Marianas Trench if he's not careful. It's a seriously dangerous skill that will probably lead to his death one day!!). He's also super grumpy, a huge asshole, got two cursed hands that are trying to wreak havoc on everything, and tends to spend a lot of time in the infirmary because he's always getting injured. It's good to be Penny!

(pls ward your brains so that he doesn't have to listen to your dumb thoughts all day long)

I'm Jove and I'm fresh meat! Coming along with me for the new ride is Desmond Miles from the Assassin's Creed series (specifically Brotherhood)-- games about Assassins trying to save the world from Templars, history, conspiracy weirdness, science that makes no plausible sense, and something about reliving ancestral memories. But who cares about that when you can just parkour everywhere, right? Right!

For anyone unfamiliar with Desmond, all you really need to know is that for the most part he's a snarky, pun-tastic doofus with a heart of gold, and maybe probably the last person you expect to be an Assassin, let alone saving the world. Spoilers: he makes terrible decisions a lot of the time, too. Memories wise, Desmond won't really remember much about the whole Assassin-Templar-World-Saving thing. As far as he's concerned, he's been doing pretty well for himself here in Wayward Pines as a handyman as of late. I'm wide open for any fake-memory-CR stuff anyone wants to do!

Hey there! I'm Babs, and I'm new to the game, bringing with me one Octavia Blake from The 100, a show about hard choices, ethical dilemmas, and the reality of sacrifice. Or, if we're being serious, a bunch of space born teenagers end up running shit and killing people along the way with swords and explosions. Kinda.

A quick rundown on Octavia: she was born an illegal second child in space, lived under the floor most of her life, was sent to jail and her mom was executed, and then was sent to Earth to basically die in radiation. Only she didn't. She enjoys jumping into monster infested rivers, stabbing shit with her sword, and mythology. Canonwise, she's from the end of s2e2 after she's knocked out while getting her boyfriend back by threatening a dude.

Hello! I'm Tigerlily (real name Gabriela, if you prefer), and I bring Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Completely new to the game, and haven't RP'd in a few years except for the occasional meme/Dear Mun/Player post. Happy to be in a game again!

Buffy is a Chosen One reluctant hero type who has by now accepted her duty and tries to balance it with having her own life. She likes Slaying and girly things. Though her second death and resurrection put a damper on her liking anything right now. I've brought her from the end of the season six episode ten "Wrecked," right before the final scene where she's curled up in bed with a giant cross to ward off a vampire she's had sex with but doesn't like.

I didn't create fake memories for her, but am open to doing so if you want your character to have some with her!

IT'S JAE BRINGING YOU THIS (VERY) HOT MESS, Alice Quinn. She was recently returned to her human body after becoming a being of pure magic during a boss fight. That's... the shorthand version.

She hates everything about being human rn, from the fact that humans sweat to the fact that they do things like fart and burp and oh god they're so disgusting WHY IS SHE STUCK IN THIS BODY. She's completely lost her memory of physical sensations as well, and is relearning everything from what food tastes like to the feel of the sun on her face.

She still hates everything. But some things suck slightly less than others.

Probably not going to have any false memories for her--she's got enough to sort through without them! But v open to cr of all kinds.
