She mulls this over for a moment as they begin toward the hospital, but as she opens her mouth to respond, two men dressed in scrubs emerge from the door toward which they're heading. Her expression steels visibly, and as they get closer, she informs them that she appreciates their concern but the situation is very clearly under control. They seem to disagree, requesting that Jefferson come with them and reaching to seize him if he refuses. Rousseau, for her part, argues tensely that this is entirely unnecessary and potentially traumatizing, but she's largely ignored and doesn't quite dare reach out to try to physically stop them.

Whether he goes willingly or by force, Jefferson is taken to the B1 level of the hospital with Dr. Rousseau ditched unceremoniously outside. He's given a sedative injection almost immediately, and within a minute, his world fades to black.
