WELCOME TO THE PINES!

And welcome to our monthly out-of-character intro post. Come say hello to your fellow players and drop a line here so others can get to know you and find out the best ways to contact you, as well as see who you are bringing in! (Current players are also encouraged to use this post to let us know about new characters.)

Don't forget to check out this month's important dates for a peek at what the coming month is going to look like. It will continue to be updated as more dates solidify behind the scenes, especially regarding June's event(s).

Our in-character intro log will be going up June 1st after midnight EST; keep an eye on our mod plurk (thepines) for that as well as all future announcements.

Hello, I'm hanshi and I'll be bringing Henry into the pines. He's a lightsaber-wielding assassin from a Suda51 video game called No More Heroes. Without any of his memory of being an actual murderer, he comes off as a pretty normal dude, if a bit odd in his reactions to extreme situations. Perhaps he finds staring down death a little too enjoyable, or literally has no fear of heights, but overall can be passed over for a smartly dressed gentleman with an odd-sounding Irish accent.

As for his suspicions about the town, he is all about investigating and sating his curiosity. Information is power, especially when you're basically an undercover murderer, so that's something he'll strive to collect even if it's all subconsciously at first. To him, he rationalizes this need to know as an insatiable curiosity and wanting to be well-informed of a strange situation.

I have a permissions post with mentions to his fourth-walling situation. He is a big sci-fi geek, and while the game has a lot of Star Wars references, the franchise itself isn't mentioned anywhere. It's likely to be an alt-version of it. Either way, it's there! I can also be reached via

hanshi and I also have a disco @ hanshi#8624. I don't use it much, but I can always use it when needed. I'm very thrilled to be playing Henry in a game again ♥

You have no idea how happily I squealed when I saw there was a Henry app. This series is so stupid and amazing and thank you for playing this dude.

Compared to those three, Henry will def be more normal....... they can just sit on their porch and judge them all over a drink or something. Is Cain a beer or liquor kinda guy?

Well at the least Gamora is cool!! But. Beer all the way, but he can pretend to be refined like his age says he should be if necessary. :T

He thinks the lady has some crazy green skin, but I have a feeling he'd get along with her too pfftttt. Beer is def doable for Henry, but I like to think he's more of a whiskey/scotch sorta dude, but whatever the occasion calls for. In this case, judging people on the porch, is a very beer-like activity.

Exactly! Beer for porch-judging, liquor for TV-judging. There's a system here, Henry.

He is now aware that The System is rigid and if broken, turns things straight up weird, so he will do his best to bide by the rules!!

I mean, this place is full of weird rules already so who's to know this isn't one of them right

Just gotta cover all the bases. Drink more beer. Judge more people while siting around on a porch. Following rules is hard.

I regret to inform you that Cain would totally use the phrase "darn tootin'" and no one is ever sure if he's serious or not.

It's a sacrifice they must make for the good of the town!
