Are there salvageable appearing electronics in the cockpit? Like cameras, or radios?
Rhi might have to make a second pass for this one, the branches of the trees are pretty bushy and she'll have to squeeze through them to get close enough to look.
It looks as though the inside is in better shape than the outside, as if only recently has it been exposed to the elements. However, it did come down in a waterfall, so all electronics (along with everything else in the craft) were very thoroughly soaked and will be difficult to salvage.
Are there bodies in the cockpit?
No, interestingly enough, there aren't. Were they lost to the flood? Was the cockpit evacuated to start with? Hard (though not impossible) to say.
Does the body of the drone look as though it hit something before the trees?
This is just the first ~15 feet of what appears to have been a much larger machine. In fact, it stands to reason that the debris hanging off the cliff was also a piece of this same craft.
That being said, it definitely seems to have collided with something before the trees. The underside (which, in this nose-down position, is just one of the sides) is very scratched up, though not damaged enough to necessarily warrant the cockpit etc to break off from the fuselage. (More details are available there, but not in response to those specific yes or no questions.)
The trees are far enough apart in theory to allow for a controlled fall, but dozens of branches will get in the way in the process. The weight of this nose section could likely break through those with enough momentum, but that defeats some of the purpose of a controlled fall, doesn't it?
