i'm usually the type of person who desperately likes it when things match up but it's also kind of cool to run with the concept that you know one thing is true and you know another thing is true, but you don't actively think about the two being true together
so it's entirely possible for kate to have the memories of her dad and never actually think about the fact that it's not necessarily allison's dad too. they don't have to actually speak about parents with each other at all until later when memories start clearing up and it's easier to acknowledge that they don't actually have the same parents.
if that works, i'd be absolutely down for that. because i really like the idea of twins.
