Aside from the bodily weirdness described in the discovery thread, the primary weird discovery would be that something so big died with no sign of a cause of death save for the bullet wound.
If he's medically knowledgeable enough, he may pick up on the fact that the individual was lying on its side for at least a few minutes before it died.
(A medically-knowledgeable individual might just note that the characters, too, are suffering from something debilitating but outwardly almost impossible to perceive... However, it doesn't seem to have killed any characters quite yet.)
