i noticed in your own top level that you mentioned science tutor and alex is canonically described as finding physics "boring" (which considering how quick/easy he solves math and spits out detailed computer specs, i've sort of taken to mean he finds it too easy to keep him engaged in but......... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) so that could be a possible entry point.
